Guidelines for Contributions
Our approach to determine what recommendations our committee would make
to the meeting for the right sharing of funds include the following:
1. Consideration of past contributions, but when it is felt that the
meeting no longer has an interest in a project support should be
discontinued.
2. Balance between local, regional and national (and international).
3. Consider whether a contribution supports the stated emphasis of
the Peace and Social Concerns Committee for 2006-2009: Peace Literacy
and Action (education, study groups, support for peace causes), Caring
for the Earth and Ourselves (Stewardship), Economic Justice and Civil
Liberties.
4. Consideration whether or not members of the meeting are actively
involved in an organization.
5. Attempt to balance service vs. advocacy.
6. Solicitations received by the meeting.
